 		 Dear Floresville Mom

First, let me thank you for your congratulatory comments. I am humbled by your confidence in my committment to responsible community service.

Next, let me address an issue that I am certain will rise on occasion for all of us. The Floresville 4A Corporation is comprised of a board of five members, including a carry over member(Ronnie)from before the new appointment process took place, and others who have had incredible input thus far on the project.

We have not yet had a chance to meet in official capacity as a Board, nor have we had a debriefing from the previous board regarding their vision, taken from the voters who entrusted the 4A Corporation with this monumental project. I anticipate that there will be one sometime in the near future, but, as a board member-elect, do not set the agenda. The vision of the previous board(including the Mayor, City Council members and community leaders), I personally believe, is one for the enrichment of our community in the arenas of economic development, responsible growth and quality of life.

Let me be very clear- I will not make a committment to an anonymous posting on the WCN blog, not now or at any time during our tenure as Board members. Meeting dates will be posted in accordance with state law, and you are both welcome and encouraged to attend those meetings to find out first hand how the new board will carry the vision forward to bring the complex to fruition.

I am willing to gather input from other community members, current board members, 4A staff,City Council members and the Mayor. But let me reiterate the fact that I am a member of a team of committed individuals, and at no time will comment on 4A activities without implicit direction from the members of my team.

Once we have a chance to meet, I am certain that the process for gathering community input will be established. I look forward to seeing you at our meetings, and hope that the entire board enjoys the success of an effective working relationship. I have confidence in my team, and ask that you do the same.

Thank you once again for your support; I pray that you offer the same encouragement to the Board as a whole, as it will take all of us working together to accomplish the mission of the 4A corporation. Have a blessed day.
