"So, according to your prohibitionist beliefs, it was a good idea to treat grandpa as a criminal"

Not what I said, or implied. You were talking about the cost of drugs being too high, considering the cost of the ingredients. My rebuttal: Corn and sugar are cheap to buy, but a fine whiskey is not. I never said to send in the revenuers into the woods to arrest anyone. I never mentioned the word prohibition. In fact, I never mentioned the government at all. I just recognize the value added to the final product, the same as I recognize the value of the final products from "Big Pharma".

Here is your original premise that supported your entire argument until you lapsed into a spasm of nonsensical, inflamatory rhetoric:

"...The cost of the active ingredient is $0.60. The percent markup is 21,712%." Remember that, Cheech?

You call yourself a libertarian, but what part of liberty don't you understand? A free market capitalist is the ultimate libertarian. Profit, at whatever percent of costs, should not be regulated except by the demand.

If you don't like the cost of drugs, try making your own.

"it was alcohol Prohibition (the war against alcohol producers, consumers, and dealers) that produced tons of adulterated and improperly manufactured booze that killed, maimed, and blinded people."

Prohibition was repealed, Cheech. But, thanks for making my point.
