Library’s hiring 3 temp part-time positions as part of the Summer Reading Program. ...when the toilet was outside and cooking was inside!

...paper of any kind was a luxury in an out-house, specially old Sears catalogs!

...getting a drink at night meant going to the cystern outside!

...lights were by kerosene and heat was by a wood stove in the other room!

...and any back talk by children resulted in a smack so hard the relatives on your family tree could feel it!~
