No one? Really? They just want to "ride around in inflatable boats with machine guns"? Really? That is such an insulting and moronic statement.....

OK, maybe some guys enjoy that, but seriously, even if they're having some fun with their cop toys, to a man and yes, even the girls who want to be men, they are extremely dedicated and take their sworn duties seriously and deserve our respect. It is the politicians that run the agencies that are to blame for any mismanagement, incompetence, bureaucratic corruption, and insidiously destructive political correctness.

Besides just trying to sell his book, the point Dr. Price is trying to make here is that the only thing being done is throwing money at security, which is about half right. We do need to spend money to harden our defenses, but at the same time recognize that there has never been a fortress that could not be eventually breeched and also that terrorism is successful even when the bomb does not explode. The primary objective of terrorism is publicity, the attention of mass media and the fear that the attempt produces.

That is why governments try to minimize events by initially declaring them to be “isolated” or the work of a “lone, troubled person.” The public at large knows better, however. “The system worked” will go down in history as one of the most ridiculous statements ever uttered by a public official but it exemplifies the ineptitude of this Administration to “control the message”. It didn’t work any better than the system.

Unfortunately, the Leftist Obama Administration and Congress seems to be very good at manipulating the media on domestic issues like “the public option” and global “climate change”, but terribly ill equipped to deal with issues like national defense and homeland security. That is because for the last 60 plus years, the Left has been totally engaged in the anti-American culture war and the anti-war agenda. The Left is very good at twisting the language and twisting the truth to destroy our country but now find it impossible to do so when it comes to actually conducting and winning a war to protect it.

"Hope" is not a battle plan, Mr. President.
