'Old As Dirt'I have the same questions and concerns.
Why ARE board members being held responsible for management and why are all governing boards lumped together and made out to be ignorant, power hungry and not interested in what their constituents want? Also wondering why only certain hospital board members are being held responsible? Seems the majority of the board have been singled out and described as not following the law or inept. Editorials, blogs and even e-mails refer to the "two board members who do things right". Which group of people decided there are only two who are right? Jim wants the 3 board members who voted against the proposal and the 4 members who were absent from the meeting to be removed. Have the two who 'do things right' been present and acting in the interest of the citizens for the entire time they have been on the board or only since public interest has been raised? Could it be that this group is trying to get a board of their own elected? Maybe we should check into possible hidden agendas and conflicts of interests.
