I believe that this entire controversy is a good thing. It is sad but true that it takes a massive misappropriation of our hard won tax dollars to make us all wake up and realize that our votes do matter. If you do not vote, or you vote for public officials that will waste your money, then you are ultimately responsible. The Wilson County Hospital Board is entrusted to use our tax dollars to maintain a QUALITY health care facility in our county. Most of us are fortunate enough to drive right by Connelly Memorial when we are ill. We do pay taxes for the care of the most needy, elderly and vunerable members of our community. The individuals we have voted into office to ensure that our tax dollars are used responsibly and in the best interest of our community have failed us when they paid $270,000 to recruit a new physician and instead gave the funds to a low life that can't do a days work.
The hospital board.....every member, should resign, if any of them had an ounce of decency. Fran Chilik should have been terminated when she managed to disgust 89% of the nursing staff to quit and then had her long time "friend" Evonne Mosley thrown under the bus for Mrs. Chiliks' own incompetence. (that was some time ago.)
I urge the citizens of Wilson County to call Rene Pena and ask him WHY ARE YOU NOT INVESTIGATING THIS OBVIOUS FRAUD?
DEMAND RESIGNATIONS.
NEXT TIME YOU VOTE, REALIZE THAT YOUR VOTE DOES MATTER. Vote for someone that has the best interest of our community on their mind and will act upon it and not some half brained idiot that wants to say they are someone important in a small town at our expense.
