You are the "half full" optimistic type. Whereas, I am of the "half empty" persuasion. I do not believe that the turmoil in the Middle East will have a good outcome. I think that the radical elements (radical Muslims) will somehow manage to worm their way into ruling positions. And, I believe that over time the ordinary people in those countries will not have it any easier than they presently do and their efforts at self rule and freedom will go for nothing. There's nothing that is more restrictive and anti-progressive as a dictatorial theological Government.

The Roman Empire viewed Christians as trouble makers, demonic, and a threat to their empire. So, they sumarily persecuted early Christians and their families. They were exterminated in some pretty grueseome ways and their property confiscated. That was all done for the good of the state and the populace. We may see a time when Muslims by necessity will have to be treated the same way. They have abused their heritage and religion and made themselves unwelcome in many parts of the world. Truth is, many Muslims are dangerous and many of the ones that are not dangerous support the actions of their radical brothers. Of all the troubled areas of the world and of all the turmoil, how much is directly or indirectly the cause of the Muslim Religion? My guess would be at least 90%. The Islamic World may have to be eliminted someday to save humanity from destruction and subjugation by a hateful, radical religion.

Our Country has always been inspired by the Judeo-Christian teachings. But, recently Mr. obama told the world that we are not a Christian nation. A strong belief in the principles that are the core root of our beginning and our progression into what we are today are slowly eroding and it is making our vision of our sense of purpose very weak, shallow, and blurred. I have no solutions but I believe the glass is more than "half empty".
