Having Texas Rangers foot chase illegal aliens is fiscal irresponsibility.

Governor Perry is using the Texas DPS for his own purposes, which is to attack the current federal administration on their poor accountability for our border security.

Perry's right, of course, but how he's doing is wrong. The amount of waste in this "performance" is huge, and Texans should take note. We obviously have an issue to address with Mexico's drug violence. It's getting worse and more has to be done. But Perry is doing it so that it benefits himself at substantial cost to the benefit of Texans.
