"old as dirt", as tragic as the death of a child is, logic tells me that there will be thousands of elderly die from the lack of medical care that will be denied or delayed because of the lack of doctors to treat everyone wanting procedures and the lack of money to treat them. There is no way to treat an additional 30 millions people with a decreasing number of doctors, nurseries and other medical folk because of the decreasing amount of reimbursement from the Federal Government...and, since the lame, feeble, elderly are the most expendable because of their lower level of usefulness to society, they will be the first to suffer the lack of physicians and funds. When Obamacare is fully implemented, there's a fair possibility that the 11 old child would be denied treatment anyway because of the cost...check out the British health insurance and the number of people there that are denied procedures...Obamacare is a whole lot like the British health care system.
Obamacare will turn out to be extremely expensive (several times more than the $900 billion they say it will cost), the Government wlll eventually have the final control of your health insurance and dictate who gets treatment and who doesn't, and it will go a long way to kill research for new medicines because of the government will greatly reduce the renumberation to drug companies. And, what doctor wants to spend several hundred thousands of doctors and many years of training to become a doctor only to be told by the government what they can charge for their services. In other words, the government will take any free market influences out of the medical profession and that is the key to the super medical care we presently enjoy...it will be gone, dead and once gone probably we will be doomed to a second rate health system. Out healthy sytem will be reduced to a second tier level.
I don't know about you, but I greatly fear being old and in pain and the government tells me that I am not worth the money to pay for a procedure that would make my last few years or months more comfortable and pain free.
I abhor the thought of Obamacare going into effect.
