 		 God Bless Mr. Hendrickson and his family. It would be nice if everyone would support Hendrickson family and show that the community cares in their time of need. I have children that go to the Jr. High and they are very active in sports and other activities that allowed them to get to know Mr. Hendrickson. Through all their interactions with him, even when they got in trouble a couple of times, they always said he was a great principle. They said he was always positive, reassuring and supportive.
LV has had a rough couple of weeks and the Marsh incident is now resurfacing. Some of the posters cant understand why this is happing but you have understand a LV parents perspective. A teacher who had a known drug problem and exhibited all the breakdowns and paranoia’s of drug use(while at school) was allowed to interact with are children on a daily basis. You look at her actions of being caught using drugs before school by a police officer which began a car chase then an assault on the officer. That was her acting out of control. Now what could have happen if she lost control at school? Or what lesson could an impressionable mind of a 7th grader take from what they observed in class?
The school board should have opened up a forum and let the parents vent at their last meeting but they didn’t. They though that the would use the rules of sign in to limit anyone from speaking about the incident but by not addressing the issue head on it left more questions to be asked.
It’s sad that these two incidents happen so close together and in the same school. It’s not only rough on the school family, community but most of all the kids. If the school was trying to ignore the Marsh incident and push through it here’s a thought- don’t have a drug addict as a school teacher.
It not the fault of a parent that raises these questions because for the 2nd time in about three weeks we’ve had to discuss (major)adult type issues with kids that don’t understand.
God Bless the Hendrickson family he was a GOOD man.
