even if I agreed with property taxes (which I dont) I wouldnt understand the arguement that old people should be exempt from them.

Why should I subsidize someone's retirement?

So an old guy can have a 15 million dollar home and not pay taxes?

We should only make poor old people exempt, not rich old people? Who determines that? The "old person panel" ?

Sounds like more entitlements to me.
