We just had a major grass fire at County Road 307 and FM 539 yesterday. When we called 911, the voluntary fire people responded quickly. We had the perfect storm; dry grass and high winds. The fire departments acted promptly and got the fires under control. They had to monitor the flare ups into the evening. Many kuddos to these people that sacrificed their time to come to our aid. I hope that other property owners out here give them a well deserved accolades for their dedicated service to the community.
