Found: Pretty white medium female dog, Jan. 11, in Homeplace Subdivision, Adkins, has black spot over eye, very friendly and sweet, misses owner, must find home, cannot keep. 210-649-1886.

Help Wanted

ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

I don't think tax payers money should be going for birth control either...what happend to old fashioned self-responsibility? The problem with birth control and planned parent hood is that so many people have made having babies out of wedlook "COOL"! And Not having babies (abortion) way to easy and convenient.

There's no stigma anymore of having a baby without being married. And, there are so many responsible couples looking to adopt these days that killing your baby should bring a deep sense of shame and remorse, but it doesn't...that's the tale of how America has lost it's moral values. Without moral values, we are no better than countries like China, Russia, and a number of other countries that have really poor track records of human rights and morality.
