"there are over 2000 scriptures in the Bible that admonish all of us to take care of the weak, unfortunate, and the down-trodden"....

It DOES NOT say that "the Government" is suppose to take care of the weak, unfortunate, and the down-trodden. That's EXACTLY WHY I mentioned that the people in the valley should get private donations to help out. If you take tax payers money from tax payers and give to the poor, etc. that is legal THEFT.

No one on this blog has mentioned that the weak, unfortunate and down-trodden should be ignored and not helped. Most of us only resent having to work very hard and have the money taken away and given to someone else by the GOVERNMENT. I believe this blog was about having to cut funding for some medical facilities to help balance the budget.

If you take from one group (tax payers) and redistribute the money to the weak, unfortunate, and down-trodden that is a form of Socialism/Communism. We have thousands of churches and charitable organizations that help the weak, unfortunate, and the down-trodden, but one of Obam's proposed tax measures is to disallow a tax deduction for charitable donations....so, even old Socialist/Communists like Obama really doesn't care to help out the weak, unfortunate, and down-trodden.

I thought ALL of you old far left wing radical wingnut Socialist/Communists really really want a separation of Church and State, yet you are proposing that the Government follow through with helping the weak, unfortunate, and down-trodden based on 2000 Biblical Scriptures that admonishes us to....Is that hippocritical or what? But you type people always have a philosophy of "Do as I say, and not as I do".

If every Democrat (aks Socialist/Communist/Marxist far left wing liberal zelots) dropped dead, the government and the economy of the USA would be in full recovery within 6 months. And, if every Muslim dropped dead, about 95% of all violence in the world would come to a screeching halt.
