You may write this down and store it in a safe place.
1) America was founded by Men of Faith.
2) Values that are important to many faiths are inherent in our country, our literature, our laws, our households, and our government.
3) Individual freedom and self determination have always been important to Americans.
4) The majority rule.
5) Freedom of peaceful dissent and speech are basic to our values as citizens.
6) Freeom of religion or freedom from religion has always been our way.
But, when you have a small minority out there screaming that their rights are being violated because of some minor, inconsequential act and the courts side with them...then you have a very tiny minority getting their way and overruling the majority. This is ludicrous and dangerous particularly when most of the areas of dissent are very minor and inconsequential. For instance, most people either would like to have prayer in schools or do not mind that there is prayer in school, but a very small minority indicate their rights have been violated to be free of religion. But, what about the 80 to 90% of the people that do not feel that way? Is it ok to disregard their feelings and views on these matters to satisfy a very small minority? I don't think it is, but many courtrooms and judges disagree with me. I think that is terribly wrong. There are so many illustrations of events where the majority obviously appear to not have their wishes satisfied in favor of the tiny minority having their wishes validated.
I'm sick of it. And, if I had a kid, I'd find some reason to spank him today; I would spit on the side walk; I would run up an American flag at my house; I would pray in a pulic place; I would post a copy of the Ten Commandments on the Courthouse facade; I would say the Pledge of Allegiance and include the words "in God We Trust".....And to H E L L with the ACLU, The Obama Administration, the Atheists of America, the UN, the World Court and anyone else who wouldn't like it....they can all just pucker up and kiss my lilly white (You may fill in this blank).
