The only way out of the tax mess is doing away with the income tax and the IRS by constitutional amendment. Then instituting the fair tax or national sales tax. Everyone would pay at the same rate, of course there could be no exemptions. All those with current exemptions would be against it. The very rich would be against it because their tax shelters would not work. Dope dealers would pay. Government czars would pay. The 50+% not paying now would pay. Those who say this system penalizes the poor and rewards the rich are talking through their hats or an orifice other than their mouth. Those wanting to really get at the rich should endorse the fair tax.
