The difference between the State requiring car insurance and the "Congress" requiring health insurance is simply the way the Constitution was written and has been interpreted since it was signed.

The States have different powers than the Congress. duh

And yes, Alvin. Medicare is probably also functionally unconstitutional, as is Social Security. Calling it a tax does not make it any less of a defacto insurance plan. Forcing us to pay into the "plan" that was quickly robbed and bankrupted by the same politicians who forced it upon us is at the very least immoral, if not unconstitutional.
