The key word here is CHOICE. I've long used the CFLs, where practical: Not practical in closets where you put the light on long enough to retrieve your merchandise and leave. I, for one do not leave lights on. It is my habit to go into my bedroom, for instance and flip on the light, again just long enough to get when I need. If you do that with CFLs, you shorten their lifespan! IT'S NOT A ONE-SIZE-FITS ALL. It is about allowing consumers the right to choose.
