Area businesses are finding ways to help by collecting items for the families displaced by the fires or those who have lost their homes. See the list of items below and two points where these can be dropped off.

Most-neededitems most needed:
•New packages of under-wear for all ages
•All toiletry Items, feminine products
•Baby food/formula, diapers, wipes
•New hair brushes, combs, etc.
•New pillows and pillow cases
•Air mattresses
•Cat and dog food
•School supplies, backpacks, and lunch boxes
•Non-perishable food items
•Bottled water, Powerade, Gatorade, etc.

NEW BRAUNFELS: Leisure Pools in New Braunfels has set up a donation station for victims of the Bastrop wildfires. The business, located at 3567 IH 35S in New Braunfels, is accepting items from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. for delivery on Saturday, Sept. 10.

STOCKDALE: Bang Electric, located at 601 W. Main St. in Stockdale, is a drop-off site. They will accept items through Thursday for delivery to Leisure Pools on Friday, Sept. 9. For more information, call 830-996-1300.
