Mission Road Ministries is a nonprofit organization serving more than 825 children and adults with intellectual & other developmental disabilities each day with residential, day services and vocational programs in San Antonio, Texas helping clients reach independence, productivity and inclusion in the community. Seeking Residential Care Professionals for our Children and Adult Programs; FT, PT.  $8-$10.25/hr. depending on experience and education.  Must be at least 21 years of age; pass background check and drug testing.  Interviews every week. Provider position in Wilson/Atascosa County, temporary part-time, hourly depending on family needs which may include some evening and weekend hours. Provides services to consumer with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in their own home or family home. Assists them with hygiene, housekeeping, meal preparation, and other services as needed. Trains individuals to do these activities independently.  Provides transportation to medical appointments, outings and other community access activities. Transportation will include travel out of the area and to other cities as  requires. High school diploma or GED, or pass competency test administered by Camino Real and provide 3 letters of reference; valid Texas driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Bang Electric in Stockdale is also collecting hay and feed for livestock. A trailer will be set up at Bang Electric with Leisure Pools also providing a trailer.
The Independent Cattlemen’s Association of Texas (ICA) is also distributing donated hay to the victims. Two emergency livestock shelters have been set up and the ICA is sending hay now.
Donations of hay or funds are being accepted. Make checks payable to ICA-Wildfire Relief or call the ICA office to coordinate hay donations.
