I, as a 9-1-1 dispatcher am so sorry to see this happen. I am concerned for the citizens in the Stockdale service area and hoped that this could be resolved. Thank God for Mary Hernandez of Wilson County Volunteer EMS, aka Floresville EMS. They had their first call in Stockdale today and completed it in less than an hour. While I hope that this will be resolved and the organization can start again, I am very proud to be part of this county's first responders. They do pull together to help the citizens. Stockdale needs to be back, this may not all be as smooth as it was today. Money is hard to come by these days and many have to sacrifice. I hope that the safety and health of the citizens in this service area is not one of those sacrifices. It will now be up to Lavernia and Floresville to assist and there are some awesome people stepping up to the plate. I just have to say, folks, there will be a longer response time and we will do the best we can in dispatch. Now, Wilson County, lets band together and keep all safe.
