Help Wanted

Himmel Home Health is hiring full-time or part-time, RN and LVN to conduct private duty nursing and skilled nursing visits with children ages birth through 20 years of age. Current openings include: days/nights in San Antonio/Elmendorf, TX; RN or LVN license through the Texas Board of Nursing required. Send resume to careers@himmelhomehealth.com.
ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

Just thinking you are entitled to your opinion, while I probably would agree with you that the county officials probably arent much better then the ones here in Floresville. But these numbers we talk about are public records. If you could enlighten us all with new numbers, please do. When you bring out outside auditors, that is simply what they are, outside, and they have no jurisdicition other then to tell you what they find. Of course the DA of Floresville, isnt going to do a thing about it, they are all either connected, related, or tied at the hip and instead of doing thier jobs, and do the right thing for those who elected you and trusted in you to do the right thing, they will let it slide, cause he is my cousin, we played football in High School together or some reason. The good ole boy network is in full effect here in Floresville. I have only lived here a few years, and this is small town politics at its worst. Something needs to change and people need to open thier eyes and see what these sooo called elected officials are really doing with thier hard earned tax dollars
