Newguy, you are absolutely right, there should be more that go down with this. Every council member along with the Mayor should have reviewed the budget documents thoroughly. But when your best buds with the city manager, or known him forever, you are on his team and go with whatever garbage is put out there. I hope that it has the dominoe effect and the people in this town quit voting these folks in office, just because your related to them, went to High School with them or have known them forever. The people in this town vote for you because we entrust that you will make the right decisions for us. All this mess with the city manager and they all voted to give this guy a 10k raise. If Im not mistaken, the only one who voted "No" on the raise was Mr Morones. At least there is one person on the council who saw the city manager for who he was. I dont personally know the guy, but its obvious he is either padding his pockets, padding project of interest to him or has no clue how to run a city or a budget. What experience did he have coming into the job???? Lets see broke some guys arm at a bar, lose your peace officer liscence, then get a promotion to become city manager. Outrages and smells like a good ole boy network to me. The Mayor brought this guy in for what reason????? He is an old friend and needs a job or we couldnt find anyone else to do an honest job?????
