What, me cynical? As I sit here looking at the prospect of my future as a proud member of the Alpo for Lunch Bunch. Naw, geeze. I'm optimistic. I'm sure our politicians will get it all figured out. I'm also quite certain that monkeys will fly out of my a-- any moment now.

Why not? Look who we have running our government. We have such notable pillars of honesty and integrity as Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Eric Holder and Barney Franke, backed up by the liberal media no matter how stupid, morally corrupt or down right criminally corrupt they might appear to be. We have a system of government that makes it possible to conceal to the public that we are hopelessly in debt, run by a bunch of crooks who are quite willing to continue the charade to protect their own gravy train until we actually do default and have to sell all our defense technology to our creditors, Red China and OPEC. God knows what they will choose to do with it.
