Burning is still allowed as of the Nov. 28 Commissioners Court: ... the commissioners took no action on enactment of a burn ban, deciding to revisit the issue Dec. 12. As a result, citizens can continue to complete their burning chores ahead of the winter fire season. Edwin Baker, coordinator of the Wilson County Health and Public Safety Office, urges residents to remain cautious and to be mindful of weather conditions prior to burning.
