Ol' Joan and several of you bloggers are showing your lack of understanding of socialism. I earned advanced degrees in International Business, and in order to get that degree, one has to study governments the world over. There are components of socialism in American govt, but Mr. Obama is not responsible. Medicare is a good example of America socialism. Our massive interstate highway system is a good example of social at work. Our network of airports is another. President Obama created non of these. However, our President and the American form of government is a long, long way from true socialism. The author says we need to reclaim our liberties! Mine are still here: I wonder where her liberties went. Joan says we must insist on our rights. Does that include our right to separation of church and state? Our right to an abortion? Our rights to a gay marriage? Our right to drive as fast as we wish? Contrary to the author point of view, I made a lot of money in 2011, and no one in government has told me I have made enough. Ol' Joan is just stirring up fear and prejudice based on half truths and insinuations. Typical TEA Party BS. Obama is still a better choice, with all of his faults, than any clown running for the GOP ticket.
