#1. How do you know military folks feel "uncomfortable" around gay people?

#2. If people act professionally i.e. don't display your sexual preferences on duty, then it's a non-issue. It only seems to be an issue when homophobes obsess about someone else's sexuality.

"having 'open' gays living, eating and working with them. It's more a matter of morale than anything else"

People said the exact same thing about blacks serving in the military.
