Excellent article! You have captured almost every argument I have been feeling since this primary began! I am also a veteran, not a marine, but a squid! LOL...the one element I would like to add to your article that has frustrated me the most is the lack of skill Oblamey has about basic governing. The ability to work with both partys. Every Governor in our country learns immediately that he must be able to address not only his own desires, but also that of the other partys if he expects to get anything passed. This president has failed this basic governing principle miserably. That is why the country is so polarized, and in decline. You can not govern as a dictator. So, while marines have the credo of sempre fidelis, always faithful, politicians must govern from a different credo, sempre gumby, always flexible! Which is the same credo I lived under 5 years as a squid in the US Navy as an airborne surveillance operator. I never knew what time I would be needed to fly, where I was going to be flying, or for how many hours. They would tell me only one thing when called, to pack warm or cold! That is the quality needed to govern our great nation! Always flexible! This president has failed miserably! We as a nation are paying the price. 25 million are unemployed/under-employed. www.usdebtclock.org
