Councilman Gomez posted the following on his Facebook Page yesterday evening"

"All those who head the recall get ready for info that will not only show the public that this years budget is on target but to identify the people who screwed it up to begin with...see if the paper reports the truth. And to those following a gentlemen who has caused problems, misinformed and thinks he can continue to ruin our direction,u need to step back and run ur own business. To those that follow him hope u undestand that sherry castillo, johnnie gomez were voted in on may of 2011. To all our voters u told us to prove it and keep our cool..well we will soon prove who made the mistake, and hopefully u wont continue to vote these people into office."

Councilman Gomez:

1) So you do admit that the budget is "screwed up"?

2) The issue is not this year's budget. The questions that have been raised are about the 2009-2010 "Actual" numbers that are in direct conflict with your Financial Statements and Independent Audit of the same period of time. The "Actual" numbers that are in question were used as the basis for this year's budget.

3) Yes most people realize that both you and Sherry Castillo were voted in in May of 2011. In reviewing the budget reports the majority of the adjustments to the books (nearly $1,000,000 in adjustments) occurred between July 31, 2010 and September 30, 2010. You were both made aware of the numerous misstatements of revenue, expenditures and expenses before you voted to approve this year's budget.

4) It would appear that you are planning to throw some one under the proverbial bus. It is a shame it is taking so long for you to come out with the truth! The questions about these numbers date back to August of this year and it is taking a lawsuit by the County Attorney and Recall petition to get the truth, you say, 5 months later. What is wrong with this picture?
