This is a You Tube video of the City Council Meeting on August 25, 2011 where this budget was approved. Councilman Morones questions the City Manager about the validity of the numbers after each and every Council member was advised of the erroneous numbers in an email from me.

The City Managers Response, beginning at 7:49:

"With all due respect to Mr. Miller. I respect him as a business owner. I have looked at the email myself. I can respond to every specific item that he said in there. And unfortunately he is incorrect. I feel strongly, I back up this budget with everything that I have, with my job and everything else. This budget was prepared months in advance, before we even presented to the council and the citizens......"

4 Months later -

December 20, 2011 in a letter to Mr. Joslin, the Independent Auditor states:

"At your request I have reviewed a document titled Proposed Budget Worksheet as of August 23rd, 2011...." (The same budget that was unanimously approved in the meeting referenced above)

The auditor continues ... "These mounts are indeed incorrectly reported on the Proposed Budget Worksheet" (The amounts that she is referring to are the sales tax income and street maintenance sales tax revenue for FY 2009/2010 and FY 2008/2009).
