>All of this is about GETTING THE BUDGET CORRECTED.

Actually, we're way past that. If all people wanted was a correction, well, after a lawsuit and recall effort they finally did get that and the eyeopening results are out for people to see - they won't make you feel any better.

In between A and B is a lot of dismissive insulting attitude from the Mayor and the Council towards anyone who dared question the error. When your leadership clearly holds you in no regard, its time for a change. This recall I think is really about competence and respect for the voters they serve.

I, for one, would like to see the DA bring in the Texas Rangers for everyone's benefit. Being abusively arrogant is not a crime, and sloppy accounting isn't either. However, in the minds of many in Floresville the Mayor and Council are 'crooks'. If they are, the Rangers will discover that in their investigation. If not, then the Mayor and Council can be officially cleared of criminal misconduct. Until that happens, this cloud will never go away because, even if the recall is successful, the ex-Mayor and ex-Council will still be considered 'crooks'. So, it seems to me that the Mayor and Council should actually urge the Rangers to come in just for their own benefit.
