Gibbs Jr. Wilson County News January 12, 2012 \| 201 views \| 10 comments FLORESVILLE -- As of 4:29 p.m., Jan. 12, Wilson County Attorney Russell Wilson has withdrawn his suit against Floresville City Manager Andy Joslin. A copy of Wilson�s notice of nonsuit without prejudice can be downloaded from the link below. Wilson filed the suit Nov. 7, alleging that Floresville�s city budgets contained �material misstatements� about the city�s true financial standing. As a result of meetings with Floresville City Attorney Louis Rosenberg and former Floresville City Auditor P. Malcolm Gulley, Wilson said he believes the errors have been corrected. �I�m pleased that the City got its bookkeeping issues resolved, and that the revenue numbers shown to the public now reflect the amount actually received.� Wilson said. Gulley reiterated to the Wilson County News that the numbers reported as actual income and expenditures in the city�s fiscal year 2012 budget worksheets reflected unadjusted totals. These totals, he said, likely were generated due to an error with the city�s accounting software. For more, read the Jan. 18 print edition of the Wilson County News.
