The 81st & 218th Judicial District Community Supervision and Corrections Department (Adult Probation) is currently seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Supervision Officer for ATASCOSA COUNTY. Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree recognized by the Texas Higher Education Coordination Board in Criminology, Corrections, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement/Police Science, Counseling, Pre-Law, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Human Services Development, Public Administration, or a related field that has been approved by the Community Justice Assistance Division (CJAD), or one year of graduate study in one of the above mentioned fields, or one year experience in full-time casework, counseling, or community or group work that has been approved by CJAD.  This position requires some evening and/or weekend work. Salary: Negotiable, plus Regular State benefits. How is having the City admit to and fix their misstatements of revenue, expenses and other other City funds a waste of taxpayer dollars?

The County Attorney acted to the fullest extent of his authority! Any further action must be taken by the District Attorney or the Feds. There is evidence that additional investigations are ongoing.

Yes, now the City has admitted that their numbers were wrong and has produced a Revised Budget Worksheet that is a true reflection of their audits. $5.1 million in adjustments were made to the last three years of historical numbers.

As to the Recall Petition. All the City Officials have done to this point is add credence to their unwillingness and inability to serve as representatives of the people. They have demonstrated that transparency and honesty are not characteristics of their roles as elected officials.
