Water Clerk. The City of Elmendorf  has an opening for a fulltime Water Clerk. Preferred candidates should have good organizational skills and perform routine clerical duties, need to possess good communication skills in dealing with the general public. Duties include receptionist functions, water department billing, processing payments and reconciling daily receipts.  Starting pay is $13.50 per hour. High School diploma or equivalent and drug screening is required. Computer experience, cashier experience and bilingual ability is a plus. The 81st & 218th Judicial District Community Supervision and Corrections Department (Adult Probation) is currently seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Supervision Officer for ATASCOSA COUNTY. Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree recognized by the Texas Higher Education Coordination Board in Criminology, Corrections, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement/Police Science, Counseling, Pre-Law, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Human Services Development, Public Administration, or a related field that has been approved by the Community Justice Assistance Division (CJAD), or one year of graduate study in one of the above mentioned fields, or one year experience in full-time casework, counseling, or community or group work that has been approved by CJAD.  This position requires some evening and/or weekend work. Salary: Negotiable, plus Regular State benefits. I am corresponding with TEA again. I found out that anyone can remove a post....... That is why I re input Robert's "lost" post.

I understand how it is to be a whistleblower. Did that for about 33 years with the Federal Government.... Their favorite slogan was "Knowledge is Power". Heck - I was there to work - not seeking Power, but the more I learned about my job, the more jealousy I ran into. Politics is a horrible thing. It has entered the school system and churches now. It reminds me of high school and who would be the most popular. Well, guess what those popular students who were the big shots never made it in the big world! It is a shame that the American way of life has changed so much and that people are so power hungry.

I will do what I can, just trying to figure out how to connect. I am concerned that if the Dept of Education is eliminated - which it needs to be - then if we the people do not clean up all the problems in the school districts locally that the "ISSUES" will continue.

Don't you know that the LVISD would love to wipe all of these comments off the net? The residents of this school district deserve better and the focus should only be education - not how many games were won and how wonderful the sports program is......
