Rock'n

Unfortunately you've misunderstood what the author and I have stated on being born equal. You've insisted on ranting about our tax situation. I'm a little disturbed that I somewhat followed you down that path. You have not yet admitted that men are in fact born equal.

When you stated that the author said that "this notion is repulsive to the founding principles of our republic", you tried to prove it backed up your tax argument. The author was referring to the 'class'system. He was emphasizing the point that it goes against our principle of being equal under God. His statment referred to a spiritual, faith centered belief. Taxes are strictly man-made and therefore secular.

Until you and all Americans finally understand that today's world problems are spiritual and not secular, we will never have a shot at resolving any of the rampant corruption on this planet. Christians need to just hang on to the end. All of the sinful, corrupt people in this world will eventually answer to the same creator for the use or misuse of the gifts they were given.

One final thought. Since it's rather obvious that most Americans have literally spit in the face of God by their worldly narcissism and material grabbing, is it any wonder that God has turned His face on us? He promises He would bless those that bless Him and follow His will and that He would turn His face on those who choose to abandon Him and strike out on their own. We have 87% of our citizens who profess to be Christians and only 14% who even go to church to worship.

I know religion is a terrible (taboo) subject to discuss, but it's past time that we fess up and say "hey, let's go back to God and get some answers".
