Wilson County was not too poor to give everyone a nice big pay raise, 2 years in a row....ehem.
But folks, more cops is not what you need or want. I kinda like not seeing cops all over the place when I'm driving. - makes me nervous.

If you want a cop on every corner, move to the big city. Frankly, I don't want the cops hiding behind every bush with a radar gun. I want them driving around looking for real criminals and ready to respond when I need them to protect me from the scumbag junkies.

And besides, traffic on the highways should be handled by the State Troopers. Once we tax payers pay off Perry's campaign bills, maybe they'll hire a few more troopers to harrass the oil field truckers. Careful what you wish for, though. You may be related to one.
