>campaign to attack some of the weakest factions

Pay attention to what they do, not what they say. Obama and the Democrats claim to be for the senior citizen and Social Security - but where do you think this payroll tax cut is coming from?

Obama likes to talk about how much $40 a month matters so some worker's paycheck, but he neglects to mention that this money comes right out of the funds for Social Security which will have to be made up elsewhere - through benefit cuts no doubt.

If you're on Social Security, how much does $40 make on your monthly budget? When they deny you a cost-of-living increase to save money because they spent that money buying votes from people young enough to work, will you console yourself that your sacrifice enabled someone to keep their Internet for their online part-time business, or so little Johnny could have pizza night with his dad? (both of these are examples used by Obama to promote it)

They call my grandparent's generation the "Greatest Generation" because of all the sacrifices they had to make - don't you think you've sacrificed enough?

Only the Republicans are asking where the money for this $40/month tax cut is coming from.. and the Democrats and the media are beating them up for it. Next administration, the Democrats will suddenly become the fiscal conservatives :-) and the Truth dies.
