"puzzled", doesn't take a genius to figure out Obama is not a religious person...his actions and his words speak really loud about his lack of religious beliefs. And, if you know anything about Academic types, you will know that most are either agnostic or atheist....those are the kind of things YOU would know if you were qualified to discuss most of these topics.

And, if you read anything but the NY Times or watched anything but NBC, ABC, CBS you would know a little bit about Santorum. I have watched Santorum comment on Fox for many years and never have heard him speak about religion until the above mentioned media outlets brought it up. I didn't even know what religion he was cause he never has made a big deal out of it.

I think it generally is a big asset if a candidate is a man of faith. Those types generally have a very firm foundation and a moral value core (unlike Obama who has none). I like people who know what is right and what is wrong and will not step across those lines that opposes their moral values. I would more likely vote for someone with strong religious values than vote for someone without any. Obama said that he never heard Rev Wright preach hatred, racism, and say things like "GD America". And yet, he went to that church for 20 years. What I found out from that statement is that he (Obama) is a liar and he will lie at the drop of a hat to save face. And, he promptly threw his spirtual mentor (his words, not mine) under the bus....geez what a swell guy to have for a friend!
