Military retirees get paid too much are you serious. I retired after 27 years of service and recieve 36k a year. Im not crying and grateful what I have earned. Have you ever served. I didnt have the 9-5 job like most enjoy. Most days were 2-16 hour days not to mention the countless deployments and all the time away from my wife and children. Yes I raised my right hand to protect the blanket of freedom you live under and feel like military retirees deserve all they have. Its the vietnam era guys who didnt get thier just dues for thier service and we owe them alot. Tricare isnt free but it is no where near what most pay a year for coverage. Obama is trying to change that as we speak. The monthly premium for most will go up 100% by 2013 and up 250% by 2014. The same goes for senior citizens who paid into medicare all thier working lifes, come 2014 it will jump significantly. I dont mind raising my taxes or doing my part to help the country get on track, but these politicians need to check thier own back yards. 47% of them are millionaires. They serve 4 years and get thier full paycheck, a service memeber serves 20 years and gets 50%. Stay off the vets and talk to your congressmen and senators. See if they will take a paycut.
