It comes back to "Why Kony?" Yes he was a bad man, but we sat on our hands when Christians were being exterminated and enslaved by muslim militia. We sit on our hands instead of wiping out the Somali pirates. In fact, the list of people equally deserving of special attention is quite long but we're fixated on a guy who's gone underground since 2006!

It did, however, provide an excellent opportunity for Obama to insert more American troops into harms way for some yet-to-be-defined objective unapproved by Congress. This happened months ago, BEFORE the Kony video came out.

So, was the Kony video produced to generate popular support for an interventionist campaign in Africa that is already well underway? To prepare us? Apparently this author has certainly connected the two.
