Yes, and remember that Cuellar also voted for Obamacare...that right there disqualifies in my mind anything that he has to say or do. You are right, we don't have to depend on the combustion engine. I hear that there has been great advances in inline roller skates. Also, there are some nifty bicycles now. And, any well fed horse/donkey/mule and wagon will get you almost anywhere you want to go as long as you have water and grain/hay for them. And, how about walking? That works well. There are billions and billions (estimated to be over 1 trillion in the USA) of barrels of petroleum that provide plastics, gas, and a multidude of marvelous products that are the results of billions of Research and development dollars and efforts. And, there is also eythanol/diesel/natural gas that work well with the combustion engine.
So, I believe that we should do the damned most stupid idiotic thing we can think of and stop using the combustion engine and forget about all the other procucts it makes. We can use foot power to get places (along with the other modes mentioned above), we can go back to building log cabins (that is if the tree huggers will let us) cause tents contain petroleum by products, and try to grow our own veggies with that mule and a one row plow. And, please do not try to kill wild animals for protein or PETA will be down on you big time. And, when you are growing those veggies remember that there will not be any pesticides to eradicate bugs so you'll have to find organic disinfectants or grow a whole lot more veggies figuring that much of the crop will be lost to bugs. And, get out the old 'Home Cures for Dummies' cause the parmaceutical industry are really bad guys and we don't need all those drugs anyway.
"Daniel", do you even realize how idiotic your statement is? it's people like you, Cuellar, and all those other Socialist/Communist in
Washington that call themselves Progressive Democrats that have caused a lot of problems and will create a lot more before we can clean you.
Why does there seem to be so many fools out there that think they know what is best for other people? I'll bet Daniel would not like it if I came to his home and started running his home, his life, arrange his schedule and tell him how he will spend his money (that's what Cuellar and Buddies want to do).
I'm fed up with Stupidity!
