Puzzled,
You're thinking too small. You are thinking about our community and I'm speaking nationally. If you had read my blog Are We Witnessing the Demise of an Empire? you would have seen my sub-title of the blog. It read Socialism ... A Creeping Curse on the U.S.
Of course Texas has not changed their textbooks nor abolished the books I mentioned from school libraries. But, a blistering attempt was made during the committee meetings of the Texas School Book Selection Committee last year by far left progressives liberals. It got so heated that one of the lefty committee members actually left the discussions in pure frustration.
Socialism never takes place in a country 100% at first. It 'creeps' in until others accept what they consider the inevitable and cave in. Texas will be one of the last states in this country to 'cave'. There are hundreds of school districts around our country in various states that are now teaching revised, non-factual, politcally correct history to their students.
I never said that the conservative judges on the Supreme Court were the only ones who follow the Constitution. I was merely stating that it is a true disgrace/shame when we can almost predict the outcome of Supreme Court rulings based solely on ideology and not necessarily on the intent of Constituional law.
Here I go again with some 'certified idiot' statements using common sense and reality.
