The rhetoric and personal attacks continue . . . From the mayor’s Facebook Page (posted last night):

“I am encouraged by a public vote that will allow spending to renovate our City Park , and add additional fields. It will demonstarte that the majority of the City Council is listening to the people of Floresville ..not Leon Valley. I look forward to a great campaign.”

Well the campaign began long ago . . . the current petition drive continues . . . here is what people are saying:

“Was at Curves yesterday getting a signature when a lady from Karnes City overheard conversation and said she had been following story in the paper and thought what we were doing was wonderful and wished she could sign........”

“The momentum is fantastic and building and you can feel the energy when you talk to people”

“It is a wonderful surprise to see how many people are upset, even business people who have been wary about speaking up before.”

The mayor\'s comments also acknowledge the need for the voters to approve such spending . . . I thought he told us at the March 26th City Council meeting that the voters had already approved a sports complex? ? ? No, this is just more spin away from the facts!

LET THE VOTERS DECIDE! ! !
