ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

Whoa! I do not consider those who worked and paid into SS for years under a government mandated program and are now collecting what they were promised part of those who are not carrying their fair share. They after all paid taxes for all those years they did work. But you must admit the SS program pays for many things other than those earned benefits. I am talking about those who use the existing loopholes and exemptions to evade taxes they should pay. Or receive refunds by claiming children who live in Mexico, to the tune of $4.2 billion. Or receiving Head of Household credits to receive more than they paid in. Or those in illegal activities who doubtfully claim those proceeds in a tax return. Our current system is a huge mass of bureaucratic gobbledygook inspired by politicians promoting agenda's or buying votes. It is a hughly costly and unfair system. Anyone disagree? If so exactly why?
