 		 The insanity continues . . .

First, let me thank Mr. Gleeson and Mr. Cantu for being present for a scheduled meeting of the Floresville 4A Corporation.

What did we learn . . .

The last meeting that this group successfully held was on January 23, 2012 (Nearly 5 months ago). - Which means there have been NO FINANCIAL REPORTS or BOARD DECISIONS OR DIRECTIONS made or provided since then! Who is really running the Event Center?

Most importantly we learned . . . THERE HAS BEEN NO AUDIT OF THE 4A CORPORATION

Agenda item (4) C&A regarding the FY 10 -11 Financial Audit is, at the very least, most misleading.

As it turns out, the package the board members were given included the City of Floresville’s Audit, less the last 8 pages of findings. Most notably missing from their copy was the significant deficiency noted regarding the 4A NOT reporting concession receipts subject to sales tax and NOT remitting sales tax to the State Comptroller. (Why would this important information be withheld from the 4A Board of Directors?)

Also, Isn’t it odd that the 4A board was asked to approve the City’s audit 7 days after the City had approved it?

Little d and Andy – Where is the damn Audit?
It is a requirement of the LAW and the bylaws of the 4A Corporation to have an independent audit done each year. The City’s audit did not review the books of the 4A. To present the City’s audit as the Audit of the 4A does not meet the requirements. Why are you hiding the finances of the 4A corporation?

City Council –
The agenda item from the Special City Council Meeting on May 31st states “C&A to receive and approve Auditor’s report and presentation of the Audit for Fiscal Year 2011 (Year Ending September 2011) for ALL CITY ENTITIES with Management recommendations”. There has been NO AUDIT OF THE 4A presented and there has been NO AUDIT OF THE 4B presented. For the City Manager to have presented only the City’s Audit as the audits of ALL CITY ENTITIES was not only inaccurate it was intentionally providing misinformation to the City Council (his employer). More importantly it is grounds (with cause) for IMMEDIATE TERMINATION OF THE CITY MANAGER!!

Oh by the way . . . I understand that Council Members Guerrero and Morones have called a Special City Council Meeting for Monday, June 11th at 7:00 p.m. to discuss this supposed audit of All City Entities.
