Water Clerk. The City of Elmendorf  has an opening for a fulltime Water Clerk. Preferred candidates should have good organizational skills and perform routine clerical duties, need to possess good communication skills in dealing with the general public. High School diploma or equivalent and drug screening is required. Computer experience, cashier experience and bilingual ability is a plus. Wondering?; the problem is that the City Charter is not being followed or enforced. And our City Attorney knows that because decisions in City Council meetings and decisions made by the City Manager have not been questioned by the City Attorney. He has gone along with many of those illegal decisions. We are having a difficult time getting someone to help us out in this. Forget the District Attorney, Mr. Pena, he is also in their pockets, so to speak. You also mentioned the city ordinances, forget that too. The current Code Compliance Officer isn't even licensed for that job and she is a joke. There is so much trash, abandoned lots and junk cars and she does not do a damn thing. She along with the City Manager, the Financial Director, the City Secretary, the Liason Whatever and the FEDC director, need to be replaced. Heck, we need to clean out the entire City Hall! And with the audit report that just came out, I wouldn't doubt it if someone even embezzled some money.
