Floresville is a microcosm of the problem nation-wide. What good is the Constitution or a City Charter if the governing body refuses to be bound to it. If someone violates your civil rights, and Holder and the DoJ refuse to prosecute, then of what effect is the law anyway?

That same government offending is bound to enforce it - its foxes guarding the hen-house. Our form of government assumes that people will try to do the right thing. It becomes paralyzed when those offending become the majority.

There is an election coming up. I hope there is a change in leadership, but will that new leadership take the initiative to investigate these offenses or, like Ford did for Nixon, simply pardon them and move on?
