Sometimes folks are in positions way too long and time to give another person the opportunity to run the Sherrif Dept and see what they can do with the place. The county officials need to recognize that Wilson county is growing and we are getting folks from all over the place and dont know what backgrounds they have. We need to ensure our Officer are being paid for the job they do on a daily basis. We need more officers, better pay for retention and give them the needed equipment to accomplish thier mission. If the current Sherrif isnt there fighting daily to get what the department needs, then its time for new blood.
