Be Careful
Floresville, TX

Does anyone understand what Cuellar’s priorities are? He presents very vague priorities without any details but if you look at the Democratic Party you understand what the priorities are:

Priority 1. Stimulate job growth.
Democratic Meaning: Stimulus Plan is out of control spending ($9B deficit balloons to $15B on Obama and the Democrats watch). Spend tax dollars until we get out of this bad economy. Food Stamps program is just one example of Cuellar job stimulus. According to Nancy Pelosi, food stamps are a sure-fire way to stimulate the economy. So, the economy should be booming. Spending on the food stamps program has increased 100 percent since President Obama took office, and now one in seven Americans uses food stamps. In the 1970s, one out of every 50 Americans was on food stamps. Dec 2008, the number of people on food stamps was 31.5 million on May 2012, there was 46 Million or 46% increase in people.

Priority 2. Overhaul the tax system
Democratic Meaning: Level the playing field in order to allow hardworking Americans to keep as much of the money. Hardworking Americans are those on Welfare and people making under $250,000. However, the Democratic plan includes tax increases only for those working regardless of income, more refunds to people on welfare and increases in taxes for investments. As with both parties, loop holes will be eliminated for those out of favor and new ones put in for those in favor. This is pie in sky. When Henry puts details on this overhaul tax system, be careful; you might be the one he is leveling the playing for. Democrats like to pick winners and losers.

Priority 3. Protect and strengthen the Medicare and Social Security programs
Democratic Meaning: Continue a failed policy which is bankrupting the federal budget. What does protect mean? Protect from what? What does strengthen mean? Spend more money?

His priorities are disingenuous. They are “feel good” priorities but mean absolutely nothing. Just like I read something into his priorities; so can anyone else who read his priorities. Ask Congressman Cuellar to provide some measureable details to his priorities. Otherwise, no matter how he votes, he meets his vague priorities; typical politician. I just it was a dishonest Republican instead of a dishonest Democrat. Dishonest is defined by providing information to deliberately mislead. In general, at least a Republican has a greater chance of reducing the deficit including private sector job creations.
