Reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol indicate the bus was occupied by a band headed to McAllen. It was struck by a passenger car, then rolled on an embankment. Six people were transported from the scene; three by air to University Hospital in San Antonio and three to Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital in Kenedy.
The investigation continues, according to DPS Sgt. J. Ryan Christian. For more on this, read the Sept. 5 print edition of the Wilson County News.
Be safe on the roads this Labor Day weekend!
